Mahder Foods Signed MoU with EIAR

Organized by Mahder Foods Plc., CAWEE’s pioneer member, CAWEE team participated in a Soybean product testing, brainstorming & MoU signing event at the Ethiopian Institute of
Agricultural Research (EIAR), event organized in collaboration with the EIAR.

 

Welcoming remarks were delivered by Dr. Alganesh Tola, Sector Director of Food Science and Nutrition & Senior Researcher in Dairy Technology at EIAR, followed by opening remarks and keynote address from Prof. Nigussie Dechassa, Director General of EIAR, highlighting the need for nutrition-based foods in Ethiopia.

 

 

 Mahder Admasu, CEO of Mahder Foods Plc. presented her company’s journey and growth as a registered medium enterprise. Erressa Wolde Giorgis from EIAR shared insights on soybean farming, its nutritional value & benefits to both individuals and the country. Participants also had the opportunity to test samples of soybean-based products.

 

 

 

The program was concluded with a panel discussion on the way forward for soybean products in Ethiopia and the signing of MoU between Mahder Foods Plc. & EIAR.
