Established in May, 2004, CAWEE celebrated its 20^th anniversary at Entoto Park, May 10, 2024. Present at the celebration event were CAWEE Board Members, CAWEE Staff & CAWEE Corporate Members.

Mrs. Dehab Mesfin, CAWEE’s Deputy Board Chairperson welcomed all. Dr. Nigest, CAWEE’s Executive Director, shared the past 20 years journey of CAWEE highlighting success stories, mentioning challenges faced and underlining current status of the Center where it has expanded its reach beyond Ethiopia engaged in facilitating intra-African trade, with a focus on women taking the lead, to benefit from the provisions of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) agreement.

CAWEE Board Members, CAWEE Staff & CAWEE Corporate Members provided their reflections, where the anniversary event was memorable, bringing everyone together, accompanied with shared commitments for the way forward.
