Shir-shir Ethiopia is founded by Hirut Zeleke in 2000 E.C (2007G.C) with a capital of 300USD using her own house to produce different kinds of bags, Purses, Coats, Jackets & Leather Fashion Accessories.

Since then Shir-shir Ethiopia has become one of the leaders in producing different kinds of leather products; it has grown selling its products to the export market within a short time. Now, its market has expanded to Japan, Europe with its first destination in Sweden and has a plan to expand to the rest of the continent & other parts of the world.

Shir-shir Ethiopia, for its specialized handmade leather products uses, sheep and ox skins sourced 100% locally.

Starting from one woman producing by herself, the company now has around 15 permanent staffs (12 women and 3 men) in the leather product line of the company.
