Farewell to Our 2nd Round Skills Trainees in Leather

The Center for Accelerated Women’s Economic Empowerment (CAWEE) implementing the project of the Office of the First Lady “Connecting 1,500 Women and Young Girls to the Export Market” has continued working on different priority sectors.

The second round training on the leather sector which was started on December 5, 2016, in the facility of the Federal Small and Medium Manufacturing Industries Development Agency, organized for two months has come to an end on February 3, 2017.

The twenty five (25) young women leather trainees have expressed their gratitude in the farewell event organized by CAWEE in the presence of the concerned officials from Leather Industries Development Institute (LIDI), Federal Small and Medium Manufacturing Industries Development Agency, the prospective employing companies, represented by the respective owners and managers.

Mrs.Nigest Haile delivered her welcoming remarks congratulating the trainees as well as those six companies that are going to employ those trainees. During the brief farewell event, trainees were given the opportunity to express their thoughts and feelings on the skills training that they were involved in.
