In celebrating IWD24, CAWEE in partnership with the US Embassy organized an event on March 5, 2024, where the main activities covered a roundtable discussion, Academy for Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) FY23/24 Program launch and mini-exhibition.                 

At the roundtable discussion, 15 Ethiopian pioneer women entrepreneurs involved in export took part; this was an opportunity to get introduced with Ambassador Ervin J. Massinga, US Ambassador to Ethiopia and the Ambassador to get to know those pioneer women in business.

During the event, Ambassador Ervin officially launched the AWE FY23/24 Program. At this event, 30 companies involved in export, all women-owned, had the opportunity to exhibit their products and services. Dignitaries, representatives from concerned Government Offices, the private sector, UN organizations and development partners took part.
