CAWEE Taking Lead Role in Facilitating Intra-African Trade in 4 Countries

CAWEE, as a lead implementing organization, is facilitating intra-African trade in African 4 countries: Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya and Rwanda. To implement this project, funding was secured from the Alumni Engagement Innovation Fund 2020, U.S. Department of State. Partners of this project are the African Women’s Entrepreneurship Program (AWEP) Chapters in those mentioned countries.

The project will focus in establishing virtual marketplaces in Accra (which will be operational soon) and continue getting established in the rest of the main cities – Addis Ababa, Nairobi and Kigali.

The projectwill have a life time of one year, expected to get finalized in September 2021, where selected women entrepreneurs from those partner countries will get the opportunity to take part at the Intra-African Trade Fair (IATF) 2021 which will take place in Kigali, Rwanda, 6 to 12 September, 2021
