CAWEE Organized Men-to-Men Training
CAWEE organized Men-to-Men Training on the theme: “Women in SMEs Accessing Public Procurement” on May 21, 2022 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Addis Abeba Ethiopia. This event was part of the STITCH project that CAWEE is implementing with its partners: Oxfam, FEMNET and the EU. The training was delivered by two men Africa Der Association members that were part of the ToT training on Men-to-Men.
This training focused on discussing existing public procurement legislation, reviewing the desk research findings on women in SMEs accessing public procurement and involvement of men allies. The issue of why involving women in SMEs in public procurement, their challenge and recommendations for the way forward was very well discussed. The outcome of the training underlined the challenges women in SMEs face in accessing public procurement, suggesting remedial measures and recommendations for the way forward.
