Sharing Workshop to Women in SME's in Accessing Public Procurement

Center for Accelerated Women’s Economic Empowerment (CAWEE) organized an experience sharing platform on “Challenges Women in Small & Medium Enterprises (SMEs) Face in Accessing Public Procurement”, April 18, 2022 at Radisson Blu Hotel, Addis Ababa. This platform’s activity is part of the STITCH (Strengthened Network for Greater Impact) project financially and technically supported by FEMNET/EU/Oxfam.

Participants of this platform were CAWEE member companies represented by their Managers and Leaders that went through different experiences in accessing public procurement. The facilitators of this platform were Mekdes Gebrewold from Ashagari Consultancy and Selome Yigrem from Innova Ethiopia.

The training was officially opened by a remark delivered by the Executive Director of CAWEE, Nigest Haile, where she welcomed CAWEE members and the other participants.

In a group discussion, participants were engaged in discussing ‘Existing Challenges Women in SMEs Face in Accessing Public Procurement & What Would be the Recommended Solutions’. As an outcome of the different group discussions, participants came out with lists of challenges that women in SMEs face in accessing public procurement and recommended suggestions.

 

The digital campaign of the event’s activity was outsourced to Abuson Event, Trading & Consultancy Company, where this company was able to develop different social media outlets in covering the overall event activities:
